Say sorry yes your child will make mistakes but instead of forcing it you need to teach them how to feel sorry and express it as an act of reflection and respect
How appropriate to apologize by themselves is a sign that the right way to teach it is
It is not a teaching moment when your child is forced to apologize
The child may not have understood why their behavior was wrong
A tool to get away children might apologize just to avoid consequences
